More than 150 psychology specialists from education organizations (schools, colleges, universities), health care organizations, commercial companies, and also, bachelor, master and doctoral students and teachers from various regions of Kazakhstan, such as: Astana, Almaty, Aktobe, Semey, Kyzylorda, Taraz, Taldykorgan, Jezkazgan, Karaganda, Zhetisay, Kentau, South Kazakhstan and Almaty regions participated in Winter School.

The purpose of the School was the development and improvement of psychological competence in various fields of professional activity.

Winter Psychological School program was diverse and rich.

17 themes of master classes were actual and consisted of following subjects:

3) Khusainova Ilmira Ramazanovna. Features of psychological counseling for patients with socially significant diseases (in Russian)

4) Kamzanova Altyngul Tustikbaevna. Technologies of modern neuroscience in counseling and psychotherapy (in Russian)

5) Kalymbetova Elmira Kenesovna. Methods of prevention of autodestructive character (in Kazakh)

6) Moon Maria Vladimirovna. Individual skills and strategies of stress management (in Russian)

7) Zholdasova Manzura Kenesbekovna. Art therapy techniques in self-regulation (in Kazakh)

8) Bagiyarova Fatima Arystanovna. Internal introspection and development of one's own experiences through the method of «self-coping by Asimov» (in Russian)

9) Smirnova Zhanat Amantayevna. The authorship of life in the therapeutic space (in Russian)

After completion of the School participants were given professional development certificates (72 hours) from KazNU institute of upraising the qualification and Psychological center of innovations and technologies of the faculty of philosophy and political science.

One should note here several key points of winter school 2018:

1) The training was conducted in the format of a psychological marathon, in three sessions which allowed participants to attend at least three master classes, to get acquainted with at least three areas of practical work.

2) Professor Madalieva Zabira Bekeshovna conducted practical «Art-workshop» (in Kazakh and Russian) where participants had the opportunity to get acquainted with the weaving of mandalas, worked with stones, tried finger drawing.

3) It is pleased that participants of the WPS-2018 included participants of previous Winter Schools, including officials: pro-rectors of universities, dean of the faculty, head of the department, directors of private companies, private practices, etc.

At the closing ceremony of the Third Winter Psychological School participants thanked for organizing, expressed wishes to continue the tradition of the Winter School, and willingness to participate in the Psychological Summer School, which is planned on June 2018.

Winter Psychological School in Kazakhstan has become a visiting card of the Department of General and Applied Psychology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

Organizers of the Third Winter Psychological School are Department of General and Applied Psychology, and Center of Psychological Innovations and Technologies of the faculty of Philosophy and Political Science of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

The ideological inspirer of the professional event for Kazakhstan psychologists is the dean of the Faculty of Philosophy and Political Science, Doctor of Philosophy, Professor Masalimova A.R.
