On the eve of the referendum

On the eve of the referendum to be held in Kazakhstan on June 5, 2022, a leading lecturer in the field of theory and history of state and law, constitutional and administrative law of the Faculty of Law of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Dr. Kalisheva N.H. took part in an interview with the channel Orda.kz , where she noted that a prerequisite is to be a comprehensive personality is the knowledge of constitutional terminology by all people living in their country, as this makes it possible to correctly understand the laws and explain them to others, that is, interpretation, and all together this will contribute to the correct effective implementation of laws.


A referendum is a popular vote held in the country and it is on it that important issues of public life are resolved. One question is usually put to a referendum, the answer to which is the words «yes», «no», «I accept» or «I do not accept», and participation is voluntary, but the citizens participating in it must be 18 years old.


All 56 constitutional amendments to 33 articles of the Basic Law have unity in their orientation, as they have a vector for constructive changes in Kazakhstan. Every citizen of our republic should exercise his political right and take an active part in the upcoming nationwide political event!
