As part of the youth year in Kazakhstan, on October 17, 2019, students of the Department of Archeology, Ethnology and Museology of the Faculty of History, Archeology and Ethnology at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University participated in the International Archaeological Conference of Young Scientists “Akhinzhanov Readings-2019” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the outstanding archaeologist – Serzhan Musatayevich Akhinzhanov, which was held in the frame of program “Rukhani Zhagyru” and a program article of the First President of the Republic of Kazakhstan N.A. Nazarbayev “Seven faces of the Great Steppe”. As part of the event, master classes were organized on the reconstruction of ancient metallurgical furnaces and hearths, pathological methods in the study of ancient metallurgy, etc.
