Al-Farabi Kazakh National University together with the State Central Museum of the Republic of Kazakhstan and the state historical, cultural and Natural Museum-Reserve "Tanbaly" held the international scientific and methodological conference "XV Orazbayev readings" from April 21 to 22.

April 19, 2023 at the Faculty of history of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, the XV Republican student subject Olympiad on the educational program 6B002208 - "Museum business and protection of monuments" was held in 2 rounds:

7 groups of higher educational institutions of the Republic of Kazakhstan took part in the Olympiad:

2. Shamshyrak team of the Kazakh National Women's teacher training University,

3. team "Guardians of national heritage" of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University,

4. team" cultural heritage " of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, team "Zhalyndy zhastar" of the Kazakh National Agrarian Research University,

5. team "pathologist" of the Kazakh-Russian Medical University,

6.participation of teams of Korkyt Ata Kyzylorda University "Zhankent".

The grand opening of the Exhibition-Lobby named after the famous artist Krym Altynbekov and the photo gallery "architectural monuments of Kazakhs" took place at the Faculty of history of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.

🔹 At the conference, the results of archaeological work carried out in 2022 on the territory of Kazakhstan and neighboring states were discussed.

The work of the conference was carried out in the following areas:

- The results of field archaeological research in 2022;

- Stone Age studies;

- new data and results from the study of the early Metal Age;

- early nomads in the context of the Eurasian cultural space;

- the city and steppe of the Middle Ages;

- interdisciplinary approaches in archaeological research;

- actual issues of preservation, conservation and restoration of archaeological heritage;

- new technologies and modern documentation approaches to field research.

🔹 The conference was attended directly and remotely by leading scientists of the country, as well as scientists from Germany, Belgium, Australia, France, Russia, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Armenia.
