One of the practice bases of the Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre is Design Institute "Kazgiprograd"1 LLP. The main activity of the enterprise is urban planning. The design institute was founded in 2002. During its work, the institute has completed many different urban planning projects at the regional, national and international levels. Every year, the students of the department have production, research practices at Design Institute "Kazgiprograd"1 LLP. On the basis of practice, students have the opportunity to get acquainted and work on projects of various scales, such as projects of detailed plans, development and building schemes, development projects, projects for the development of territories, regions, master plans of settlements, villages, cities.

Many young specialists began their career at Design Institute "Kazgiprograd"1 LLP. Students of the Department of Geography, Land Management and Cadastre, have practical training at Design Institute "Kazgiprograd"1 LLP, gaining invaluable experience in urban planning projects, remain to work at Design Institute "Kazgiprograd"1 LLP.
