In 2019, a meeting was held with employers of the Institute of Geology of the NAS of the Republic of Kazakhstan. As part of a discussion of pressing issues of development of Kazakhstan geology and mineralogy. The issues of improving training in the field of geography and the development of an educational program were considered. Ergaliev G.Kh., dg / m.s., academician, head of the laboratory shared the achievements and scientific contribution of academician K.I. Satpayev. The issues of the possibility of introducing interdisciplinary disciplines related to geology and geography were considered. During the discussion, it was suggested that when developing new educational programs, a sufficient number of disciplines in the direction of geology should be taken into account.
