Day of Geologists
Recently, teachers and undergraduates of the 7M07201 - “Oil and Gas Business” curriculum at the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry organized an event to celebrate the birthday of the great scientist, teacher, well-known public figure, geologist, founder of mining science in the country, Academician Kanysh Imantaevich Satpayev and the Day of Geologists, which is celebrated on the first Sunday of April.
The guest of the event was the well-known geologist Ruslan Zhumagaliyev, who made a great contribution to the development of the country's economy, a qualified specialist of the Tengizchevroil enterprise engaged in the development of the giant Tengiz oil field.
He spoke with interest about how he came to this profession and how this difficult and interesting profession made positive changes in his life. For many years, he paid special attention to astronomy, medicine, and the surrounding natural phenomena, and conducted research. The meeting with the guest was very interesting.
