24.02.2021 within the framework of pedagogical practice at the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University at the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry, 1st year students of the Master's degree in “Petrochemistry” organized the event "Сommon language is a requirement of life" on the Zoom platform.

Despite the fact that the Independence of Kazakhstan is 30 years old, the problem of language remains relevant. Despite the fact that the Kazakh language is the state language, we often meet a case of refusal to provide a service in the Kazakh language or very often there are advertisements that do not comply with the law on languages. But we think that with aggression and tightening the law will not solve the problem. The people of Kazakhstan must consciously come to a common language

The invitations were sent in advance in three languages.

The event started with a greeting from the organizers, followed by a presentation, general information, information, questions and conclusions from students and undergraduates. The presentation covered such topics as the Law on the languages of the Republic of Kazakhstan, whether we need to know the

Kazakh language, the importance and future of the language. In addition, the presentation provided complete and accurate answers to topical questions of students and teachers participating in the meeting.

The event was attended by students, undergraduates and teachers of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry. There is every reason to believe that the meeting was held at a high level and the participants were completely satisfied. After the meeting, some students showed interest and howed interest and provided us with their feedback.
