A video conference on mathematical modeling of chemical and technological processes was held with students of HITOV 301A, specializing in the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry, Professor Gemil Ahmad, invited from the Arab Republic of Egypt. The students discussed in detail the advantages and features of the field of mathematical modeling, theoretical planning and practical significance, and also got acquainted with the progress of solving one of the global problems. The methods of solving the harmful effects of carbon dioxide on the environment by modeling based on a computer program were presented. Thanks to this, using modern mathematical calculations, it is possible to solve all problems related to the environment, the use and development of fossil ores, to ensure the optimal flow of chemical and technological processes. Students received comprehensive answers to their questions, mathematical modeling was introduced into the educational process, as an elective course, and also expressed interest in conducting mathematical modeling in the final papers.
