The impact of solid waste on the environment
In November 2020, an open educational hour was held for 2nd-year undergraduates of the specialty «7M05301 Chemistry» under the guidance of Orynbassar R.O. on the topic: "The impact of solid waste on the environment". Undergraduates prepared enlightening presentations and reports by modern interactive methods. During the educational hour, discussions were held on awareness of solid waste, ways to neutralize waste in different countries, and general information on secondary substances extracted from them. In the "Question-answer" section, participants shared additional information on the environmental characteristics in each region of Kazakhstan for solids residues and predicted their effects. As a conclusion of the event, undergraduates answered intellectual questions compiled in the Quizizz program.
