Scientific seminar - Umbetkalieva Kamilla

Within the framework of the scientific seminar, the results of research work were presented following the results of 2 years of study under the PhD program and held within the walls of al-Farabi KazNU, on the basis of Scientific Research Institute For New Chemical Technologies And Materials, as well as Gazi University (Ankara, Turkey). Synthesis techniques for 15 new-class catalysts based on mesoporous aluminosilicates (HMS) and alumina with further promotion with Ni, Cr, and Mo were examined. Hexadecylamine was used as a template in the synthesis of mesoporous aluminosilicates, and the bentonite of the Tagan deposit was used as a binding agent. The analysis of the physicochemical characteristics of the synthesized samples (HMS) and bifunctional catalysts based on them (5% Ni/HMS-H-bentonite, 1% Mo/HMS-H-bentonite) included: a standard method of nitrogen adsorption/desorption using a Quanta ChromeAutosorb sorbtometer-6; Small Angle X-ray Scattering (SAXS); infrared Fourier transform (DRIFT) of diffuse reflection of adsorbed pyridine using a PerkinElmer Spectrum One FTIR spectrometer; FT-IR spectroscopy. To interpret the data obtained, graphs were constructed and presented at the seminar. During the discussions a number of questions were asked and recommendations from the leading specialists of the faculty were given. Questions related to the relevance of the study for Kazakhstan, further plans for the implementation of the work, as well as the economic feasibility of the production of catalysts. The recommendations were recorded and will be taken into account during the further implementation of scientific research and when writing a dissertation.
