INNOVATIONS IN HIGHER EDUCATION: PROBLEMS AND PROSPECTS

In Address to the people of Kazakhstan, dated September 01, 2022, President K. Tokayev noted that it is necessary to continue reforms in the field of higher education.

In January 2023, the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held the International Winter School "Innovations in Education". 118 teachers from higher educational institutions of Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and Kyrgyzstan took part in the work of the winter school.

The accession of Kazakhstan to the Bologna process ensures the expansion of Kazakhstan's relations in the field of higher education with universities both near and far abroad.

Questions about the state of implementation of the credit system of education at KazNU, the creation of massive online courses, the possibility of using the Kaizen concept in the educational process aroused great interest among the participants.

Thanks to the introduction of the European Credit Transfer System (ECTS) at the university, the academic recognition of studying abroad is guaranteed and the demand for graduates has increased in a rapidly changing labor market.
