Discussion of the joint educational program of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University with the University of Lyon Claude Bernard

At the invitation of the President of the French Republic Emmanuel Macron, the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev made an official visit to France on 29-30 November 2022. The presidents emphasized the priority nature of cooperation in the field of education, and also supported the increase of student mobility, in particular by increasing the number of scholarships under the "Abay-Vern" program and expanding the list of French universities under the "Bolashak" program.

In this regard, on January 25 this year, a videoconference was held with representatives of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry of the French University Lyon 1 Claude Bernard Professor Peter Gukian and Professor Shashank Mishra. During the meeting, the parties discussed a number of important issues on a contract between the Department of Chemistry and Chemical Technology Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi and the University Lyon 1 Claude Bernard on the educational program Petrochemistry - 7M07101 for master's degree.

Joint and simultaneous development of education and professional orientation are the key drivers of effective interaction between educational organizations. Implementation of innovations in the scientific and educational sphere of activity contributes to the development of new forms of interaction and forms mutually beneficial ties, as the University of Lyon is in the subject ranking in the top 200 universities, the top 20 universities in France and in the top 400 universities in the world in terms of quality of education.
