Students of the 1st year of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, studying in the specialty "6b07104-Chemical technology of organic substances", according to the curriculum, completed a training internship for two weeks from May 30 to June 11 under the guidance of Associate Professor of the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry Eshova Zhania Turluanovna. During the internship, students took a tour of the scientific library of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the National Library. Students learned about the history of libraries, reading rooms, book collections and cultural centers in close cooperation with the library. As well as Soft Books, Qazaq University, Begell, Aknur press, Epigraph, E.lanbook, Digital Library, Wiley, IEEE Xplore, Polpred.com , got acquainted with the Springer, Scopus sites and registered on these sites. I gained experience in how to collect the first scientific sources, how to work with scientific literature. Inessa, a 1st-year student, shared her impressions of these excursions with a wide readership in the article "instruction in practice" published on June 25 in the newspaper "Kazakh University" No. 20.
