On October 20, 2022, at the Kazakh gymnasium school №132 in Almaty, at the invitation of the school management and with the direct participation of the class teacher of the 11th "G" class, Gazisova G. A., career guidance work was carried out for high school students. Undergraduates of the 1st year of the specialty "Chemistry" of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University presented to the audience a slide show about the university, the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, about the achievements of the university, the specialties in which the faculty trains. The issues related to the scientific work carried out at the Department of Physical Chemistry, Catalysis and Petrochemistry, the employment of graduates and other important aspects necessary for the formation of an idea about the university and the faculty were discussed. At the initiative of the undergraduate Serikbayeva A., a quiz in the form of questions and answers was held among the students who chose the subject of chemistry. The best students were awarded memorable prizes in the form of a notebook and a pen. The lesson aroused a lot of questions from students and obvious interest in some aspects of studying at the university and at the faculty. According to the results of the event, there was, on the whole, a positive impression, the meeting was held in a warm, relaxed atmosphere and was interesting to all participants of the event.
