On May 19, on the occasion of Olzhas Omarovich Suleimenov’s 85th anniversary,  the outstanding poet, scholar, public figure, an educational event: "Az and Ya: fate and historical path" was held. The event was organized by the Department of Kazakh Linguistics and the 1st-year undergraduates.
The purpose of the educational event  is to deeply study   O. Suleimenov’s creative work.
During the educational event,  the 1st year undergraduates  majoring in  "Kazakh language and literature" and studying at  the Department of Kazakh Linguistics of the Faculty of Philology told in details about the history and the social significance of the book: "Az and Ya" by Olzhas Suleimenov. The relevance of this work in linguistics and national culture was determined. Undergraduates were introduced to the structure of the book, analyzed the main problems.
The teaching staff and guests of the event highly appreciated the educational event  and wished  undergraduates  to achieve successes in their studies.
