On December 23, 2020, the Department of Pedagogy and Educational Management of the Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi together with the Department of Pedagogy and Psychology of the Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky held an International round table dedicated to the 1150th anniversary of the oriental philosopher, scientist Abu Nasyr Al-Farabi, whose name our university bears. The round table was attended by teachers and magistrates of KazNU named after Al-Farabi and Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky. During the round table, reports were heard of the magistrates of KazNU named after Al-Farabi  Ishigova Inara on the topic “12 qualities of a true ruler according to Al-Farabi”, Salykova Aliya on the topic “Ideas of Al-Farabi about the art of government”, Ma Hanxue on the topic “Eastern thinker Al-Farabi in China ", and reports of YSPU master's students Kalacheva Elizabeth on the topic" Psychological views of Al-Farabi ", Prokofieva Alexandra on the topic" Pedagogical ideas of Al-Farabi ". Based on the results of the Round Table, it was decided to publish a collection of reports of magistrates of KazNU named after Al-Farabi   and Yaroslavl State Pedagogical University named after K. D. Ushinsky. In the jubilee year, the university held many significant events at the national and international levels, the Al-Farabi Center and the Al-Farabi Business School function at the university.
