On May 12, 2018, in the 143rd secondary school of Saryagash district, a solemn closing ceremony of the regional Olympiad was held, organized by the Department of Chemistry and Technology of Organic Substances, Natural Compounds and Polymers at the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology of the Kazakh National University named after al-Farabi. The Olympiad was attended by pre-selected students from grades 9-11 from 10 schools in the region. Were given letters of gratitude to 17 students who successfully completed the tasks of the Olympics, letters of thanks to teachers and their employees, as well as a calendar, a circle, a notebook and a pen with the symbols of KazNU named after al-Farabi. Associate professors of KazNU Urkimbaeva P.I. Kudreeva L.K. acquainted the activities of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology and answered questions from participants. Participants noted that the importance of holding such Olympiads is high, and in this regard they asked that next year such an Olympiad would be held in other schools.
