20th November, 2015, at 16.30, teachers Almabayeva G.B. and Akshalova B.N. held an educational event “Romeo and Juliet” with the 1st year students of the Faculty of Chemistry and Chemical Technology, ChTICh 107, at the university campus, hostel №13

The event increased students’ interest in and awareness of drama in general and Shakespeare in particular, helped students expand their knowledge of Shakespeare and build an understanding of Romeo and Juliet by connecting the summary of the play to their everyday lives.

During the event Urazgeldiyeva D. showed the presentation about W.Shakespeare's biography. Tastan Sh. read the Sonnet 154 on behalf of Shakespeare, sitting at the desk and writing the sonnet. Sultan Sh. presented the book exhibition. Beisen Sh. makes the presentation on Romeo and Juliet and shows the video.  Niyazbek G. prepared W. Shakespeare Quiz and gave sweets for the right answer. Sagyndykov Zh. and Sabitova S. act out The balcony scene in Romeo and Juliet.
