Magistracy

KazNU realizes master program on 76 special scientific and pedagogical and profile areas of training. In recent years the development of the program received a business education - MBA, the program double-diploma education in the framework of bilateral agreements and the CIS Network University, a joint program with the University of the SCO in the direction of "Ecology" program as part of the TEMPUS project in the direction of "Information Systems".

Goals and objectives
The main aim of learning a foreign language as a subject of general education is the formation of a block of intercultural communicative competence of students in the field of natural, social and humanitarian areas, based on internationally accepted level system for the active use of the foreign language in everyday and professional communication.
Learning objectives:
- To develop in students the perception of a foreign language as a source of information and foreign language communication tool in order to use it to formulate its own expression and understanding of other people;
- Prepare students to communicate in oral and written forms in both professional and social spheres of communication;
- To teach students to use a foreign language as a means of broadening and deepening systemic specialized knowledge and as a means of self-improve their professional skills;
- To reveal to students the opportunity of a foreign language as a source of expanding their linguistic, cognitive, intercultural and pragmatic competences.

At the beginning of the school year for all first-year students is conducted starting the test that determines the level of proficiency in a foreign language. Depending on the results of the test are formed linguistic groups corresponding to levels A1, A2, B1, B2, C1
