The Republican Scientific-Practical Conference «Kakimzhan Kazybaev - Actor, Writer, and Citizen» was held at Al-Farabi KazNU.

The event was attended by government and public figures, poets, writers, journalists and students. Opening the scientific and practical conference, Rector of KazNU Galym Mutanov expressed gratitude to the audience and read out a congratulatory telegram from the President of the Republic of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. The Head of State wished the family of Kakimzhan Kazybaev prosperity and well-being.

During the conference, a video film dedicated to the life and work of Kakimzhan Kazybaev was presented to the attention of the participants.

Corresponding member of the National Academy of Sciences of the Republic of Kazakhstan, poet Bauyrzhan Zhakyp, made a presentation on the topic «Writing Aspect of Kakimzhan Kazybaev», where he revealed his work from new perspectives and emphasized his special attitude to the writing profession.

The statesman and public figure, academician Kopzhasar Naribaev, writer Zhanbolat Auypbaev, Academician of the Kazakh Academy of Nutrition, Professor Toregeldy Sharmanov, also shared their memories in their speeches and highlighted the most vivid pages of the life and work of Kakimzhan Kazybaev.

In addition, the writer Sultan Orazali described the heroic exploits of K.Kazybaev. One of them is «Heroic Feat in the Name of Love. He married a girl named Orynsha Karabalina, who was then declared the daughter of an enemy of the people. Another feat was associated with the name of Rakhymzhan Koshkarbayev, who was one of the first to put the banner of Victory over the Reichstag building. He was the first journalist to publish this fact».

At the end of the event, the spouse of Kakimzhan Kazybaev Orynsha Karabalina-Kazybaeva and his son Batyr Kazybaev, General Director of the Media Holding «Alash» Media Group, delivered a speech. They thanked all the participants of the conference and the staff of KazNU.
