October 25, 2017 at the Department of the Far East Faculty of Oriental Studies KazNU named after al-Farabi, an extended curatorial hour was devoted to the "Experience of academic mobility in Japan", with the participation of the representative of the Japan Foundation, Ms. Onishi Yumi.

The purpose of this event was:

- to acquaint students of 1-4 courses with the basic Regulations on Academic Mobility of KazNU, as well as the advantages and specificity of academic mobility programs of the Japanese department of the Far East Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of KazNU named after al-Farabi.

- provide students with the information necessary to overcome the cultural shock and language barrier during the educational internship on academic mobility.

- Encourage students to actively study Japanese and English languages, which are the professional languages ​​in their specialty, as well as the main means of communication with an educational internship in Japan.

 The event was held in the form of a presentation by 4-year students and undergraduates who successfully completed the educational internship at universities: Waseda University, Tokyo University of Foreign Languages, Tsukuba University. At the end of each speech students shared their impressions and emotions received during their stay in Japan. Among the students-speakers and listeners, a "Question-Answer" discussion was held, devoted to various issues related to the educational internship on academic mobility and living in Japan as a whole
