The International Children's and Youth touristic expedition "My city - Almaty" started in the mountains of Trans-Ili Alatau. The aim of the event is to revive youth tourism movement, extend knowledge on culture, history and nature of native land, develop search skills and abilities, promote tourism as effective means of formation of patriotism, healthy lifestyle, environmental education of the participants, as well as intensify tourism and local history activities, upgrade participants’ touristic qualification, formulate the image of Almaty city as a major touristic center.

Model United Nations – New Silk Way (NSW MUN) program in collaboration with the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University - one of the top academic institutions in Kazakhstan, and the Global Hub on Sustainability of the United Nations Academic Impact initiative (UNAI), is organizing the Mini Model United Nations – New Silk Way (NSW MUN) in Almaty city, Kazakhstan.
