The expedition is guided by the Department of Tourism and Foreign Relations of Almaty city. It has been initiated by Federation of Sports Tourism, and Al-Farabi KazNU, Department of Recreation Geography and Tourism is responsible for organization and implementation of this event.

More than 15 teams from different cities of Kazakhstan and foreigners take part in the expedition. Main participants are High school and University students. Students from "Tourism" Departments of KazNU, "Turan" University, affiliations of St. Petersburg State University and University of Zhetysu are most active participants.

1-3 category of complexity routes in the vicinity of Almaty have been offered to the participants, which have been developed by the Federation of Tourism. High school students were offered multi-day grade routes with radial access to the unique natural objects. The trip assumes observations of weather phenomena, flora and fauna, description of touristic obstacles, as well as ecological activities. At the end of the route, the participants will have to submit search reports, the best of which will be rewarded by organizers. All participants will be awarded certificates, and most successful in passing categorical routes - will be awarded sports categories in tourism.
