EP purpose

High-quality training of an interdisciplinary highly qualified Master of Biomedicine, a specialist for the scientific and educational spheres of higher educational institutions. The program is aimed at forming a professional personality of a specialist who is able to interpret and summarize the deep modern knowledge of the latest theories in the field of biomedicine; independently carry out scientific research and integrate the knowledge of related scientific fields in the context of their own scientific research, summarize them and present them, both to specialists and non-specialists; capable of mastering modern methods of research of the basic laws of the functioning of the body in normal and pathological conditions; to ensure the effectiveness of the educational process on the basis of classical and innovative teaching methods, as well as build their own program of further education and research activities.

Educational outcome

A graduate after studying this program will be able to:

 

ON1. To organize scientific and biomedical research of biosystems in biomedical research laboratories, practical healthcare institutions, pharmacological and biotechnological centers.

ON2. Apply modern methods of bio-medical research, develop and test modern equipment for conducting research in the field of biology and medicine in the context of leading biomedical areas.

ON3. Work on modern biomedical equipment, use modern biomedical, research, information and organizational technologies in their work, apply knowledge, understanding and ability to solve biomedical problems within interdisciplinary fields related to medicine;

ON4. Conduct scientific experiments from the development of a research plan to obtaining results and summing up, using integrative methods of studying biological processes in living systems.

ON5. To argue the relevance of the chosen research topic, independently formulate the problems and tasks of scientific research in the context of various areas of modern biomedicine, determine the stages of research, find technological solutions to the research problem.

ON6. Master the techniques of computer modeling and methods of theoretical analysis of the results of scientific research, evaluate and interpret the results of biomedical research to diagnose the functional state of the body, explain the causes of dysfunction of the body.

ON7. To analyze the regularities of the functioning of individual organs and systems, to use the basic methods of assessing the functional state of the human body for more successful therapeutic and diagnostic activities.

ON8. Based on laboratory analyses and studies in order to prevent functional conditions, recommend a set of measures aimed at preventing the development of disorders or at eliminating (complete or partial) already existing pathological conditions.

ON9. Observe the essence of the basic bioethical principles, legislative and regulatory documents that ensure a responsible attitude to wildlife, make decisions in a specific situation in accordance with generally accepted humanistic, moral and ethical norms and principles of behavior.

ON10. To present promising trends in the development of pedagogical and methodological science, modern methods of teaching natural and biological sciences, to use innovative and interactive technologies and methods of teaching biological and medical disciplines in higher education;

ON11. Classify and apply technologies, modern methods and techniques of teaching in the field of teaching natural sciences, various methodological approaches to the educational process in higher education, use modern research tools and innovative technologies for translating knowledge of the basic concepts of natural science and medicine in personal practice;

ON12. Demonstrate originality and creativity in carrying out activities in the biomedical and pedagogical fields and building the trajectory of their professional growth and development throughout their professional career, ensuring high competitiveness, make their own original contribution to the development of this specialty (dissertation).

Scientific activity

Scientific schools or scientific directions of the department:

The Department of Biophysics, Biomedicine and Neuroscience conducts research on human physiology and biophysics, Neuroscience, Biomedicine, age physiology and Labor Physiology, chronobiology.

The graduate is prepared for work in the Research Institute of Biological and medical direction, in institutions of practical health care. He has theoretical knowledge in the field of physiology, medical biochemistry, genetics, biophysics, nanotechnology and research methods in the field of biomedicine, experimental oncology, radiobiology, methods of biochemical and biophysical studies of cells, tissues, organs and the human and animal body. He is prepared to continue his doctoral studies, as well as to master modern methods of biomedical research and to participate in the development and testing of modern equipment for studying the human body.

There are international relations with foreign universities Drexel University (Philadelphia, USA), Ben-Gurion University (Israel), Moscow State University, Peoples' Friendship University, Tomsk University (Russia) and others.

This program in the specialty "Biomedicine" is compiled in accordance with the requirements of the universities of the top 200. The educational program is based on a modular principle based on a competence-based approach. The educational program is similar to foreign programs in terms of the volume and list of subjects studied. The teaching uses the best modern educational methods, including business games, trainings, as well as a combination of individual and team work.
