Training of geobotanists for various spheres of economic activity, achieving high quality postgraduate professional education in compliance with the mandatory requirements for the level of training of doctoral students, stimulating independent educational, research and professional activities of doctoral students.

Educational outcome

Upon completion of this educational program, doctoral students are expected to be able to:

1. Be able to organize, plan and implement scientific research characterized by academic integrity; the ability to generate new scientific ideas and approaches.

2. be able to apply a set of acquired knowledge and skills in the management of geobotanical science, in the promotion of geobotanical programs in legislative, government, regional institutions and local self-government bodies, to transfer their knowledge and achievements to colleagues and the scientific community

3. be able to carry out a professional and comprehensive analysis of problems in the relevant field; the ability to organize, plan and implement the process of scientific research;

4. have an idea of ​​the scientific concepts of world and Kazakhstani science in the relevant field and related fields of science; on the mechanism for introducing scientific developments into practice;

5. to form systems of knowledge and ideas about the vegetation of arid countries, the causes and consequences of desertification in arid territories, as well as the main directions of optimization of arid landscapes, methods of combating desertification.

6.to form ideas about the population level of life, with the current state of population biology of plants, the basic concepts, concepts and methods of population botany, with the main methods of obtaining data in population biology of plants, as well as methods of processing these data and methods of their generalization

7.apply differentially modern computer technologies to solve professional problems with meaningful interpretation of the results obtained in the field of geobotanical research

Academic activity

Academic activity of the EP is carried out:

- within the framework of existing regulatory documents and methodological recommendations in the field of higher education in the field of biological sciences;

- as a result of the implementation of regulatory documents regulating the educational and methodological process at the university;

- generalization and dissemination of new normative legal acts concerning methodological work;

- current and long-term planning of the educational and methodological work of the university; coordination of the educational and methodological complex of the discipline (EMCD) of the department for compliance with regulatory legal acts, the working curriculum and the educational program;

- monitoring the provision of the educational process with teaching materials, documenting the results;

- development of teaching materials; development and implementation of the working curriculum.

Doctoral students in 2-3 courses have the opportunity to undergo scientific internships at leading universities in the world as part of the academic mobility program. Doctoral students takedisciplines, work in scientific laboratories. More than 30 doctoral students have already been trained.

Teachers of the educational program undergo internships, educational courses abroad to exchange experience, gain new competencies, and improve educational skills.
