First Vice-rector of al-Farabi KazNU Mukhambetkali Burkitbaev met with a delegation from South Korea, composed of the managers of the clinic Gangnam Severance University of Yonsei and international medical centers.

It should be noted that under the previously signed agreements, the Korean scientists and professors today are actively taking part in the program of medical training for Kazakhstan on the basis of KazNU. They hold lectures and master classes, where students are taught the latest technologies and innovations in the field of health.

Bilateral cooperation allows for Kazakhstan’s teachers and students to improve their skills, undergo training and practice on the basis of Korean medical departments and laboratories at Korean universities.

During the meeting the parties noted positive dynamics of cooperation between universities of the two countries in the field of medicine. As is known, in December 2014, on the basis of KazNU in students service center "Keremet" in conjunction with the clinic Gangnam Severance was opened a diagnostic center equipped with modern medical equipment. The center uses new medical technologies (telemedicine) to remote consultations and diagnostics of patients.

During the meeting the representatives of the South Korean delegation noted the interest in expanding cooperation. In a short time for professionals and health workers KazNU will be a series of seminars and trainings.
