"Word formation in Modern English"
The aim of lesson was consisted in formation of ideas of components and types of the lexical meaning of the word, in development of practical and research abilities to work with different sources of information in students, in development of critical thinking and self-education. The lesson was given in the form of the group project work where students showed creative research work over the main problems in word formation of modern English in the form of the presentation in PowerPoint. Work of students was differed in high quality and completeness of the presented material, an esthetics and literacy, various and bright presentation. At the end of the presentation students of all groups analyzed and commented the results of the project, and then they evaluated the presentation of each group filling results in the estimated sheet. In general, summing up the result, it is possible to allocate that lesson was very effective, from the point of view of performance of the purpose and problems of a lesson and compliance to interests of students.
