SCIENTISTS AND PRACTITIONERS OF KAZAKHSTAN AND RUSSIA ENHANCE COOPERATION IN THE FIELD OF APPLIED PSYCHOPHYSIOLOGICAL RESEARCH

Psychophysiological research using polygraph and other modern technical means has long become a vital need in the work of human resources services of security agencies and civil organizations around the world. These technologies make an invaluable contribution to human security issues. Scientific research in this direction is slightly lagging behind practice, some of which are protected by the "secret" label. Meanwhile, sound, competent and effective application of modern psychophysiological methods is impossible without the development of scientific and methodological basis and empirical verification of research results on a large range of data.
On September 23-25, a delegation of the Center for Applied Psychophysiology "National School of Lie Detection" (Moscow, Russian Federation) headed by Alexander Petrovich Sochnikov - the leading polygrapher of Russia, one of the authors-developers of the professional computer polygraph "Diana" and the complex "Diana-Video" took place in KazNU  after al-Farabi. At present, practical all security agencies of Kazakhstan, Russia and a number of other countries use Diana in personnel work.
The purpose of the visit was to create new areas of cooperation in the field of education and science, to unite the efforts of educational and practitioners of our countries in the development of modern psychophysiological technologies to improve the skills of specialists, to train students and master's degrees in new methods of working with personnel.
In order to carry out scientific and educational activities, specialists of the Center for Applied Psychophysiology "National School of Lie Detection" handed over to the Department of General and Applied Psychology of KazNU the complex "Diana-Video" and the computer polygraph "Diana." The Center for Psychophysiological Research will be established on the basis of the Department in the near future. Lectures and practical exercises held during the visit aroused great interest among scientists, teachers and students of KazNU.
As A.P. Sochnikov rightly noted in his speech, science has no borders and nationalities. We hope that the cooperation between KazNU after al-Farabi and the Center for Applied Psychophysiology "National School of Lie Detection" will be fruitful and mutually beneficial.
The Department of General and Applied Psychology expresses great gratitude to Larina V.V. and Nurmakhanbetov A.L. for assistance in organizing and carrying out the visit.
