"Fundamentals of agricultural selection"
On October 11, 2014 in the frame of a special course "Fundamentals of agricultural selection" an outreachseminar for 3rd year students (specialty "Biotechnology") based on the elite seed private agricultural firm (Responsibility Association Limited - RALtd) “Turgen” was conducted. The students got to know thetechnology of putting new varieties of grain (wheat, barley, maize), oilseeds (safflower) and legumes(soybeans) into operation. They were also presented an innovative technology of fruit crops growing. They visited a garden, where the intensive drip irrigation technology is being used. There are 15 dwarf apple varieties growing there.
