Department of the Far East on November 2, 2017g. met a special guest - General Consul of the Republic of Korea in Almaty Mr. Jong Seung Ming. The delegation included consul Kim Hyun Ming, consular Officer Chan Pen Hwa, assistant consul General Ten Yelena, as well as the Consulate General’s intern Yang Chinha.

The theme of the special lecture: "Ways of expanding cooperation between the Republic of Korea and the Republic of Kazakhstan". The issue of the main tasks for building mutually beneficial cooperation between Kazakhstan and South Korea was seriously discussed. The lecture aroused keen interest from students and teachers. Questions sounded in different languages, doctoral candidates and undergraduates debating and asked questions. The discussion platform in the walls of KazNU once again confirmed the consistency of the student contingent for discussions at a high level of the diplomatic dialogue.
