Winter School - a short-term training program for students, allowing plunging into the atmosphere of knowledge and feel like a student Kazakh National University named after Al-Farabi. Carrying out the winter schools for foreign students has become a tradition of the Department of Oriental Studies of the Far East.

In order to implement the strategic development of the university, external academic mobility of the Far East Department initiated a winter school holiday period 2015-2016 academic year. Students Kookmin University (Seoul, Republic of Korea) in the amount of 17 people, as well as Professor Ryoo Sungchang were invited from January 18 to January 25, 2016. According to the students I was offered a course "Regional. Politics, economics and culture of Central Asia", which also included field, research in Kazakhstan.

On completion of the course the students were awarded with certificates.
