An official meeting with the delegation of the Graduate Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies of Niigata (Japan) was held in Al-Farabi KazNU on 25th of November.

At first guests visited the Department of Oriental Studies. During the meeting of Director of Administrative Department of the Institute T.Sakuma, Head of the Department for Development of International Cooperation T. Mizutani, accompanied by a graduate of the Japanese division of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi KazNU, currently a Chairman of the Kazakh-Japanese Economic Cooperation Committee B.Kurmanseit with Dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies Bayan Jubatova, Head of the Japanese branch of the Department of the Far East A.M. Tokkarina, and responsible teachers of the Department M.T. Shadaeva, S.K. Borankulova, have discussed the importance of the agreement between Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Graduate Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies of Japan. The sides also discussed the issues of further development of bilateral cooperation, training opportunities for graduates of the Division of Japanese Studies of KazNU to study on MBA programs at the Graduate Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies as well as employment opportunities for graduates in the field of entrepreneurship with direct support of the Chairman of the Kazakh-Japanese Economic Cooperation Committee B.Kurmanseit. After the meeting, the guests got acquainted with the Faculty, with its history and its current state of development.

The official part of the meeting continued in the administrative building of KazNU. The discussion of the above mentioned issues was continued extensively during the meeting of the guests with the First Vice-Rector M.M Burkitbayev, Director of the Department on Academic Affairs A.K. Hikmetov, Director of International Cooperation Department A.B. Smailova. Following the meeting, there were held a ceremony of signing an agreement between Al-Farabi KazNU and the Graduate Institute for Entrepreneurial Studies.

The sides expressed their hope for further development of mutual cooperation, noting the importance of this project for the development of entrepreneurship in Kazakhstan.
