Department of the Far Eastern Asia of the Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University held an evening dedicated to the reception of freshmen students in the framework of the project "Aynalandy nurlandyr" on September 30th. Senior students have prepared interesting concert programs consisting of musical performances and games, thanks to which the event was unforgettable. Head of the Department Mrs. Em Natalia Borisovna inaugurated the Ceremony and wished a successful school year and interesting student life for freshmen. The teaching staff of the Japanese branch, in turn, expressed their best wishes to the students.

University is not only a place where one just acquires knowledge, i.e. new staff, as well as an environment contributing to the formation of people as a person. In this regard, this Welcome Ceremony for students served undoubtedly as a prerequisite for students to get acquainted with team, with support of whom they will acquire new knowledge and develop. And this is the significance of the event.

Within the event first-year students get acquainted with the achievements of the faculty as well as with the future prospects and get acquainted with seniors. Among the special guests of the event there were also students of the faculty studied in Japanese universities and Japanese students from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies University and Saitama University. These students shared with excellent sides of student life, and expressed their wishes to the freshmen students. "Welcome to the sacred place, which gave an excellent education for many students!” with such general wishes the official part of the evening was ended.
