On October 15th -16th of 2015 an international scientific conference “Theory of functions, informatics, differential equations and their applications” dedicated to the 80th anniversary of professor Nazarbay Bliyev was held in the Mechanics and Mathematics Department of Al-Farabi Kazakh National University.
N. Bliyev is a known mathematician. Since 1964 he has been lecturing at the university , and is currently a professor of the department of Fundamental Mathematics. For a great contribution to the development of science and education of Kazakhstan N. Bliyev was awarded a silver medal named after al-Farabi. Our university publishes a series of books "Өнегелі өмір" and the 60th edition of this book is devoted to outstanding mathematician N. Bliyev.
