2nd SUMMER SCHOOL ON “MATHEMATICAL METHODS IN SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY” 28 MAY - JUNE 8 2018 ALMATY, KAZAKHSTAN
FIRST ANNOUNCEMENT
After the success of the 1st Summer School at Nazarbayev University in June 2017, this year the 2nd Summer School on “Mathematical Methods in Science and Technology” is organized by the Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of Al – Farabi Kazakh National University, and School of Science and Technology of Nazarbayev University, May 28 – June 8, 2018. In this School introductory lectures will be given by Kazakh and international Professors on fundamental applications of Mathematics to Science and Technology to 40 – 50 selected Kazakh graduate (or 3rd and 4th year undergraduate) students of KazNU, NU and other Kazakh Universities.

APPLICATIONS
All Kazakh students (graduate and advanced undergraduate) interested to apply for admission to the School, should send to the Chairperson of the Organizing Committee, Professor Zhanat Zhunussova, 2018mmst@gmail.com (a) A letter of intent, (b) their Curriculum Vitae (including grades in all their courses) and two recommendation letters given by Professors.
Registration Fee (paid at the School): PhD and young researchers: 10 000 tg, Master’s students: 5000 tg, Bachelor’s students: 3000 tg. There will be financial assistance for students who will follow the School but do not live in Almaty. The deadline for submitting applications for admission is April 30, 2018.
