Kalii Kulaliyeva`s online seminar on the theme "The plot-thematic index of the epic Manas".
On Friday, December 11, 2020, at the Department of Turksoy and the Research Center "Monuments of Writing and Spiritual Heritage" Faculty of Oriental Studies of the Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, there was held a traditional, third seminar in the distance mode on the topic "Plot-thematic index of the epic Manas" with Ph.D. Kalii Kulaliyeva, a senior lecturer of the Kyrgyz-Turkish Manas University.
In her report, Kaliya Kulalieva spoke in detail about the availability of more than 80 versions of the Kyrgyz epic "Manas", their locations, features of writing and thematic aspects. From the variants of the epic, divided into such regions as Naryn, Issyk-Kul, Talas, etc., was developed a plot-thematic index of sagas of the Naryn region. Kaliya Kulalieva also reported that the preparation of this work took two years and was shared so that the book will be published soon.
The seminar was attended by professors and teachers, undergraduates and doctoral students, as well as students and young scholars from universities in Kyrgyzstan and Turkey. At the end of the seminar, the head of the department of Turksoy, PhD U. Kydyrbayeva presented a letter of thanks on behalf of the dean of the Faculty of Oriental Studies, thanked and wished for further cooperation.
