Visit of the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Turkey to the al-Farabi Kazakh National University
On September 22, 2020, rector Mutanov Galymkair Mutanovich and dean of the faculty of Oriental studies of al-Farabi KazNU Yhtiyar Paltore and the teaching staff of the Department of TURKSOY met with the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Kazakhstan Ufuk Ekici. The main purpose of the meeting was to discuss the possibilities of establishing close, friendly cooperation in the scientific and educational sphere of the Republic of Turkey and KazNU. The meeting also discussed current issues, such as the exchange of students in Turkish Universities, employment of graduates of the Department of TURKSOY in Turkish companies, the creation of Turkish courses within the University that will issue valid certificates in Turkey.
The rector and the dean expressed gratitude to the Ambassador extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Of the Republic of Turkey to the Republic of Kazakhstan for the information provided and interest in working together. During the exchange of views, the Parties expressed their gratitude for the meeting and took note of the above requests and suggestions. Mr. Ufuk Ekici warmly thanked for organizing a warm reception and noted that this is his first visit to the University.
