Türksoy Department visited the Universities of Turkey through the Erasmus program (03.01.-13.01.2020)

 

Teachers of the Department of Turksoy Faculty of Oriental Studies of Al-Farabi  KazNU  Z. Shadkam and senior lecturer N. Kairanbaeva under the leadership of the head department U. Kydyrbaeva visited Ankara, Republic of Turkey, at the beginning of this year from January 3rd  to 13th  as part of the Erasmus International program. The purpose of the visit was to expand international relations between universities of Turksoy such as Ankara University and the University of Hajettepe, to teach students of the Department of Modern Turkic Languages ​​and Literature at the University of Hajettepe, to identify the advantages of the education system in Turkey.

A seven-day business trip initially began with a visit to prof. Mehmet Olmez. who is head of the Department of Modern Turkic Languages ​​and Literature of of Istanbul University (Istanbul city). In order to strengthen international relations between the two universities, efforts have been made to develop a double degree program. As a result of the meeting, we are confident that the contract for a double degree in the master's program between the two universities will begin in the 2020-2021 academic year.

In addition, the head of the department of Turksoy U. Kydyrbaeva met with the head of the Institute of Turkology of the University of Hajettepe, Professor Yunus Kokh. At the meeting, steps were taken to further collaborate, such as publishing articles in international journals in the future.

In addition to teaching at the University of Hajettepe, U. Kydyrbaeva, the head of the department of Turksoy, and N. Kairanbaeva, the senior lecturer, officially met with the assistant to the head of TİKA (Türk İşbirliği ve Koordinasyonu Ajansı Başkanlı координı) and TIKA Kazakhstan coordinator, senior specialist Tluba Albu.

Taking advantage of the time, our teachers greeted prof. Gürer Gulsevina, who is not only the head of the Turkish Language Organization of the Republic of Turkey (Türk Dil Kurumu), but also honorary, frequent guest of our faculty.

One of the main meetings of our visit was a meeting with Sanjar Mulazymouli, director of administrative, financial and legal affairs of the International Cultural Organization of the Turkic Peoples of the Republic of Turkey ((TÜRKSOY)).

In conclusion, I would like to note that the department of Turksoy is making every effort to establish international relations of our university, and we are sure that this business trip will be of great importance not only for the faculty and the department, but also for the foreign policy of the university as a whole.
