The IV International Festival
16-18.10.2019 The IV International Festival of Documentary Films of the Turkic World was held at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University. The event was organized by Al-Farabi Kazakh National University and the Federation of Journalists of the Turkic World. The honored guests of the event were the famous actor of the Kazakh people Asanali Ashimov, the president of the Federation of Turkic World Journalists Mendes Demir, directors, foreign guests, representatives of the public and the media, as well as students.
The best films from Turkey, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, Azerbaijan, Uzbekistan, Cyprus, Macedonia, Bosnia, Herzegovina and Hungary took part in the festival. The purpose of the festival is to present the best documentaries from the Turkic world in nine cities of 9 countries, as the festival is called "9 countries, 9 cities, 1 festival."
The three-day event was attended by students of the Department of Turkic faculty of Oriental studies and watched documentaries that were shot in Turkic languages.
Documentary films are devoted to topics such as social, cultural, spiritual and socially significant topics and the education of youth.
