A curatorial hour on the topic “We are against drugs!” for 1st year students of the Department of Turksoy Faculty of Oriental Studies
As part of active measures to prevent drug addiction among young people, on February 21, 2024, a Curator Hour was held on the theme “We are against drugs!” The event was organized for 1st year students of the Department of Turksoy Faculty of Oriental Studies in order to familiarize themselves with the dangers of drug use and form a negative attitude towards this phenomenon.
The purpose of the event was to prevent drug addiction among students, as well as to provide an understanding of the threat that drug addiction poses to health and society. Students were familiarized with criminal liability in the field of drug addiction and the distribution of synthetic drugs in Kazakhstan.
The event was held in a question-and-answer format to give students the opportunity to express their opinions and ask questions on this topic. It was especially important to find out the students' opinions about drugs, whether such drugs were offered to them, and whether they knew anyone who had suffered from this bad habit. Other bad habits, such as alcohol and smoking, and their negative impact on the health of the younger generation were also discussed.
