SCIENTIFIC SEMINAR ON "LINGUOCULTURAL ASPECT OF THE KAZAKH AND TURKISH IDIOMS"
On 10.11.2022 the Ph.D. student of the educational program "8D02301-Translation Studies" Orazbayeva Meruert gave a scientific seminar on "Linguocultural aspect of the Kazakh and Turkish idioms" in Turksoy Department of the Faculty of Oriental Studies.
The scientific seminar was attended by the teaching staff of Turksoy Department, in particular, the Deputy Head of Turksoy Department for Scientific and Innovative Work and International Relations Temenova Gulzada Kanatovna, Ph.D., associate professor Kurmanali Altynshash Arystanbekkyzy, Ph.D., assistant prof. Kuanyshbaev Yerzhan Aituuly and master’s students.
The scientific seminar was devoted to the comparative study of the Kazakh and Turkish idioms from the point of view of Linguoculturology, to defining the linguocultural features of idioms of the given languages on the basis of linguistic data, lifestyle, culture and historical data of the kindred nations.
The speaker made an overview of linguocultural studies of domestic and foreign scientists, highlighted the linguocultural features of the Kazakh and Turkish idioms, revealed their differences and similarities.
After the speech the speaker answered various questions from the audience and was able to reveal the linguocultural aspect of the Kazakh and Turkish idioms.
