From 31.10 to 05.11.2022, the director of the research center "Written Monuments and Spiritual Heritage", associate professor Z. Shadkam, took part in the international forum "Central Asia - the center of Islamic art", held in Samarkand, and made a presentation on the topic "Problems of collecting, preservation and cataloging of handwritten books in Kazakhstan”.
Experts and scientists from foreign countries, such as Korea, Japan, Turkey, Kyrgyzstan, etc., took part in the forum and exchanged experience. The forum was held in the cities of Tashkent, Samarkand, Bukhara and Khiva, and was ), the scientific direction of calligraphy and the preservation of medieval manuscripts (Samarkand), religious tourism (Khiva, Bukhara).
In general, the Forum was held at a very high level in terms of organization and conduct.
