Internship at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan
Based on the agreement between the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan and Al-Farabi Kazakh National University from September 19 to October 15, 2022, 4th year students of the Turksoy Department, Faculty of Oriental Studies, Al-Farabi Kazakh National University, Kaiyrbayeva Assem, Kozybayeva Aiym, Malik Nurly majoring in Oriental Studies, Kaskabayeva Zabira "Translation Studies" we have passed an internship at the National Library of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The industrial practice was organized at the Department of "World Literature" under the leadership of Salima Toktasynovna Tuyakova, head of the department. The students got acquainted with the foundation "Books in Turkish" and learned how to work with bibliographic information and electronic catalogues of the library.
In addition, during the last week of practical training, library staff and readers were introduced to the history of Turkish poetry, the works of Turkish poets Mehmet Yurdakul and Orhan Velidi were analyzed and poems were read.
