It is so vital to realize that there are still educators who value the importance of science and scientific approach.

Al-Farai Kazakh National University is proud of its head, Dr. Türksoy Egamberdievich Mirzakhan Sharipbaevich, thanks to whom many young specialists decide to devote themselves to scientific activity.

The current year for Mirzakhan Sharipbayevich was filled by set of events of scientific and educational character and we would like to tell you about research, pedagogical practice carried out in the frames of Erasmus program at the Ataturk Institute of Hacettepe University, Turkey, Ankara, which he attended.

The significant event covered the period from April 8 to May 8, 2022. As part of the program, conferences were held for master's and doctoral students. During the scientific meetings serious themes related to the role of Armenians in the Sovietization of Kazakhstan were touched upon, the problems of the Armenian Diaspora in Kazakhstan, as well as many speeches and reports on the role of Levon Mirzoyan in the organization of political repressions in 1937-1938 were delivered. Along with this, an extensive field research was conducted on the collection of toponymic materials and comparative analysis of the formation of the Republic of Turkey. New and fascinating facts about the contribution of Mustafa Kemal Ataturk were presented to the students and participants of the workshop.

The program of the event included a visit to the military history museums. Our Drank of the department and his colleagues visited such cities as Gaziantep, Sanliurfa and Adana, Konya and Ankara. During scientific discussions the participants of the workshop could learn more about the role that these cities played in the national liberation struggle of the Turkish people. It is also important to note that there was also research on identity of contemporary national issues in Turkey. A visit to the National Library in Ankara and the Presidential Archives was also included. Ankara National Library and the Presidential Archive of Turkey provided a unique opportunity to touch important documents and manuscripts.

Mirzakhan Sharipbayevich had  opportunities to hold meetings and discussions with scientists of Haji Bayram University Veli, professor Ocal Oguz, professor Suleyman Yuzel Shenyurt, associate professors Evrim Olcher and Tuna Yildiz, Gazi University professor Mehmed Shahingozem and associate professor Ayhan Pal, scientists of Ataturk Institute of Hacettepe University professor Mehmed Dervis Kilinckay and professor Seifi Yildirim.

As a result of these meetings they gained experience in the theoretical and methodological problems of research, the formation of a common circle of research group. As a result of the agreement, Associate Professor Tun Yildiz was included in the research group of the project "Diplomatic missions and intellectual trends in Kazakhstan (late 19th - early 20th centuries)" submitted for the PFI MES tender for 2022-2024. Our colleague and inspirer Mirzakhan Sharipbayevich, is the locomotive of our department, inspiring with his example, and proving that the future belongs to science, and that young scientists should get engaged in it and should promoted it to new levels.
