International conference of students and young scientists "Contemporary problems of ethnology in the modern world"
KazGu University has always been distinguished by advanced ideas and innovative solutions. One of the most memorable educational events of this month was the seminar, dedicated to topical problems in the field of the study of Turkic ethnology, Kazakh Folkler, material and non-material cultures of the Turkic world. The key moment of the seminar was effective and efficient advice that were given for improving and deepening the research in the field of comparative analysis of the Turkish languages. During the seminar, new topics and ideas for more research were born. At a workshop, experienced linguists-practitioners and linguists-theorists shared their advice and experience in writing and formatting scientific articles for publication in highly rated scientific and educational journals. The students and the staff were able to interact and discuss urgent issues of Turkish language studies. Leading specialists in the field of Turkish studies, Dr. Evrim Olcer Ozunel and Dr. Tuna Yildiz were invited to conduct the seminar. The distinguished guest of the seminar was the outstanding linguist Dr. Mehmet Dervish Chelynkaya. The contribution of foreign specialists cannot be overestimated. Based on their experience, the invitees highlighted the problems of interpretation and translation from Turkish into English and vice versa at a wider levels. Skilled and experienced translators supported the young generation of translators at “Turksoi” department with valuable pieces of advice and their experience. The department "Turksoi" would like to express gratitude to the statesman of the Republic of Kazakhstan, diplomat, scientist and doctor of philological sciences Tuimebayev Zhanseit Kanseituly for the development of the department, for attracting foreign colleagues to exchange experience and knowledge, for seminars and conferences that make it possible for new ideas and plans to be born, and for simply boosting the progress in the field of linguistics
