The Professional Development and Engagement Centre for Almaty and Almaty oblast at Al-Farabi Kazakh National University will be conducting a seminar on Proposal Writing and Finding Funding for Research Projects as part of the Newton - Al-Farabi Partnership Programme. The one-day workshop aims to help researchers to improve their proposal writing skills to support them in engaging with both local and international audiences. The seminar will be held on the 14 March 2016 at Al-Farabi Library, conference hall 314 from 09.00 to 17.00.

Student conference “Model UN – New Silk Way” is the simulation game in Central Asia that reflects the work of the UN. It includes participants from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Pakistan, Afghanistan, India, Italy, France, the Netherlands and other countries. The Model UN gives a possibility for practice and development of diplomatic, leader, orator, and language skills and besides, it serves as a network platform for young leaders.
