1. He has knowledge of current methodological and philosophical problems of natural Sciences, as well as knowledge of psychology and pedagogy.
2. He has a deep theoretical knowledge in the field of fisheries and aquaculture, uses the basic laws of the functioning of aquatic ecosystems in practice, assesses the impact of different types of economic activity on the formation of the production of natural water bodies.
3. He knows the theoretical foundations and practical methods of organization of hydrobiological monitoring, regulation and reduction of environmental pollution; is able to determine the value of primary and secondary products in artificial waters.
4. Capable of analytical thinking, logic, analysis, scientific justification and creative solution of problems in the field of fisheries and aquaculture, has the skills to collect, systematize and summarize primary data in the field of diversity and status of aquatic biological resources.
5. Applies in practice skills on reproduction and protection of fish resources, rational use and management of water bioresources, uses the inventory of fishing objects, trade statistics; conducts control of fishing activity and monitoring of water bioresources; applies methods of ecological regulation in fishery.
6. Applies in practice the legislative and regulatory legal acts regulating questions of protection and rational use of fish resources in RK; reveals cases of poaching on reservoirs and takes measures for suppression of the facts of violation of rules of conducting fishery; is competent to estimate and analyze the volume of the caused damage as a result of intensive activity of the person. substantiates the need for environmental monitoring in water bodies.
7. Owns Biotechnics of cultivation and cultivation of various hydrobionts, applies the gained knowledge in scientific and practical activity. Understands the features of adaptation of fish to different environmental conditions; applies -alpha,-Beta, -Gamma technology; owns the theory of controlling, the basis of marketing and the concept of logistics, calculates the cost and economic efficiency of the enterprise.
8. Applies the modern classification of fish in practice; defines the criteria and indicators of the state of aquatic biological resources; identifies the causes of fish diseases. It is able to calculate the types of food, the length of trophic chains and the direction of the production process in artificial reservoirs. Reveals the relationship between the laws of growth of hydrobionts and environmental factors; owns the basic physiological methods of analysis and evaluation of living systems;

Owns the methods of studying quantitative traits; genotypic variability; traditional genetic methods in breeding of fish, estimates of genetic processes in populations; Owns cytological methods of study of heredity reveals the features of hybridological (genetic) analysis, have skills in repair and installation of fishing gears, assesses the wear and durability of fishing gear that can organize the process of industrial fishing in inland waters.
