Upon completion of this educational program, students are expected to be able to:
ON 1 To manage the library institution, interacting with all structural units, to direct their activities to the development and improvement of the library, taking into account the socio-cultural priorities and the current level of library development.
ON 2 to conduct research on the assessment of the socio-cultural situation, conditions and factors affecting the library and causing the need for change, a survey of the internal environment of the library, conditions and factors hindering and contributing to the development of its activities,
ON 3 to evaluate the effectiveness of the library as a whole (a separate library, a network of libraries or individual areas), a study of the market for innovations, the innovative potential of library science
ON 4 to solve a wide range of tasks that go beyond his professional activities, the ability to integrate knowledge and cope with complex issues and formulate judgments based on incomplete or limited information, work in a team, communicate your findings to specialists and non-specialists
ON 5 to conduct studies to assess the improvement of bibliographic description in various branches of science and techniques, culture, literature, medicine, agriculture, to solve a wide range of problems on the application of bibliographic description elements that are divided into compulsory and optional, to formulate qualitative analyzes for compiling a bibliographic scientific reference apparatus considering the features of the collected material
ON 6 to evaluate the effectiveness of the application of international standard bibliographic description for a particular industry or topic, to solve a range of tasks on the qualitative use of the set of bibliographic description rules developed by the International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions for creating unified bibliographic descriptions in bibliographies and library catalogs covering published resources of any type
ON 7 to conduct research on the organization of open access to library collections for their diverse use by researchers and readers, to develop the ability to integrate knowledge and cope with complex issues of creating optimal conditions for access to funds.
ON 8 to explore the possibility of applying the experience of foreign countries in improving the quality of service to the public, users and to maximize the disclosure of existing library funds for independent search and selection of necessary documents by users.
ON 9 to conduct research on the possibilities of organizing social and economic optimal conditions for satisfying information needs and fulfilling the needs of citizens, state authorities, higher educational institutions, educational and cultural organizations
ON 10 to conduct studies to assess the role of the media space as a source of various information, to evaluate the information data of printed materials and electronic media.
ON 11 to solve a wide range of tasks in the creation of information and communication technologies in libraries for the implementation of methods for searching, collecting, storing, processing, providing and distributing information
ON 12 Develop educational and methodological materials for conducting classes and extracurricular work in library science, bibliography, bibliology and computerization disciplines in organizations of higher and vocational education using educational technologies and teaching methods based on their critical thinking; design and implementation of integrated research, including interdisciplinary, based on a holistic system of scientific outlook; plan and conduct high-quality classes in organizations of higher and vocational education using traditional, innovative, interactive, student-centered technologies and teaching methods; organize research, project and educational and professional activities of students on undergraduate programs.
