ON1. Analyze specific traits of genetic organization and mechanisms of genetic expression depending on organism’s functioning as that one in the course of evolution;

- Description: The main purpose of "PhD thesis writing and defence": of a doctoral dissertation is the formation of the doctoral students' ability to disclose the content of research work for the defense of the thesis.
During the study of course, doctoral student's should be competent in:
1. to substantiate the content of new scientifically grounded theoretical and experimental results that allow to solve a theoretical or applied problem or are a major achievement in the development of specific scientific directions;
2. explain the assessment of the completeness of the solutions to the tasks assigned, according to the specifics of the professional sphere of activity;
3. they can analyze alternative solutions for solving research and practical problems and assess the prospects for implementing these options;
4. apply the skills of writing scientific texts and presenting them in the form of scientific publications and presentations.
5. to plan and structure the scientific search, clearly highlight the research problem, develop a plan / program and methods for its study, formalize, in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Establishment, the scientific and qualification work in the form of a thesis for a scientific degree Doctor of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) on specialty «8D07502 – Standardization and certification (by industry)».
During the study of the discipline doctoral student will learn following aspects: Registration of documents for presentation of the thesis for defense. Information card of the dissertation and registration-registration card (in the format Visio 2003). Extract from the minutes of the meeting of the institution, in which the preliminary defense of the thesis took place. Cover letter to the Higher Attestation Commission. Expert conclusion on the possibility of publishing the author's abstract. Expert opinion on the possibility of publishing a dissertation. Minutes of the meeting of the counting commission. Bulletin for voting. A shorthand record of the meeting of the dissertational council. List of scientific papers. Response of the official opponent. A review of the leading organization. The recall of the scientific adviser.

In studying the discipline, the following aspects will be addressed: features of the scientific style; internal differentiation of a scientific style; features of scientific discourse; typological features of a scientific text; principles for constructing a scientific text and preparing it for publication; features of the structure and logic of a scientific text; special, general scientific vocabulary and terminology in genetics and molecular biology.

In studying the discipline, the following aspects will be addressed: basic principles of organizing life; levels of organization of life: molecular genetic, ontogenetic, population-specific, biogeocenotic levels of organization of life; the genetic basis of microevolution; elementary evolutionary factors: mutations, population waves, isolation, gene drift, migration, natural selection; adaptaciogenesis; molecular and genetic mechanisms of progressive evolution; system man-nature-society.

- Description: The aim of the discipline - to develop and implement highly informative methods of modern genetics and molecular biology to solve social, economic and environmental problems of the development of society.
In studying the discipline, the following aspects will be addressed: the use of the laws of classical genetics in systems analysis; selection of a model object in accordance with the purpose and objectives of the study; basic strategies for genetic mapping of chromosomes; a review of global databases of genetic collections of model objects; methods and prospects of using “exotic” hybridization in nature and in laboratories; solving problems in medicine, pharmacology, food industry, agriculture, ecology based on genetic methods; methodological foundations of genetic monitoring of humans and the environment; principles of bioethics in genetic research.

Molecular mechanisms of heredity and variability

- Description: Aim of discipline: to form the ability to analyze the development trends of modern genetics and molecular biology in order to develop new scientific and methodological approaches to studying the molecular mechanisms of heredity and variability.
In studying the discipline, the following aspects will be addressed: modern advances in studying the domain organization of RNA and evolutionary aspects at the molecular level, regulation of phage and viral genes; bacterial genome regulatory pathways; mobile genetic elements and their regulation, principles of domain formation, independent, cooperative and integral regulation of eukaryotic genes, cluster genes, and their regulation; methods of differential gene expression, genome mapping, the use of GMOs, their certification and prevention of undesirable effects, gene therapy as a practice of gene regulation.

- Description: Aim of discipline: to form the ability to analyze and explain the molecular genetic mechanisms of hormonal regulation of the vital activity of living organisms for research project development in the field of functional genetics.
In studying the discipline, the following aspects will be addressed: physical and chemical fundamentals and structural organization of receptor-ligand ensembles taking part in hormonal response of the cell or living thing; modern views on hormonal classification, biosynthesis, and decomposition, molecular mechanisms of signaling effect of hormonal response in humans, animals and plants; hormonal signaling pathways, their extracellular, cytoplasmic and nuclear components; databases on hormonal signalomics and various hormonal crosstalks of eukaryotes; mapping of signaling hormonal cascades.
